Ou Skaapse Slippers, founded by Debs is a proudly self-owned, South African brand, born from a love of working with natural materials and a desire for everyday comfort, especially on cold winter days spent by the fire with family (and a few cats close by).

The name Ou Skaapse draws inspiration from the iconic Ou Kaapse Weg in Cape Town, which winds through the Steenberg mountains and Silvermine Reserve. From Debs’ home, these mountains set the tone for each day and when they’re wrapped in mist, cloud and rain, there’s only one thing it means: it’s the perfect kind of day for slippers.
